I have been at this dentist practice since I moved to The Netherlands and I am so pleased! Even after moving from The Hague to Amsterdam I am still going there. I have done many treatments with them and everything is a 10/10, from the experience with the professionals who work there, the results and the kindness. Trust with doctors and dentists is not something that one builds after the first visit by I highly trust this place and I really recommend it.

They took me in fairly quickly, and I was supposed to go only for a check-up. After the examination, the dentist told me it was urgent. I repeated again that I had a problem with pus. I didn’t want to interfere with his work, but the previous two times this happened, dentists knew they needed to open the tooth and let the pus drain to relieve the pain.
However, instead of opening the affected tooth, this dentist started drilling a huge hole into a completely different tooth. He told me there was a cavity causing the pain and said he would deal with the tooth I originally mentioned in about 3 days.
He drilled a massive hole, sent me home, and told me to come back the next day to close it. When I got home, my face swelled up overnight so badly that I looked like I had gained 5 kg on one side of my face.
Right now, I’m on my way to my own dentist, and I will most likely need to have the tooth taken out completely.
I also got hit with a €700 bill in total for drilling a huge hole and not addressing the main problem. I have insurance so it doesn’t really matter, but it’s still ridiculous.

I was treated by Dr. Jan, and I honestly never expected the extraction to be as gentle as it possibly could be. He immediately put me at ease, was very patient, listened carefully, and together with his assistant did an amazing job.

In a panic, I contacted my previous dentist, who talked with me about it for an hour and then checked my teeth again for another half hour. His diagnosis: I don't need to have my tooth removed now, but possibly later if it bothers me. Replacing all the fillings is unnecessary. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, and such expensive fillings, no tartar, so no hygienist treatments are necessary. Maw never go to this practice again, it's only about making a lot of money.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had with a dental practice! Firstly, I went to a check up and one of the dentists said I needed a night guard. No explanation as to why, but I assumed that going to a dental practice they had the knowledge to what they were doing so I agreed to have one made. My assumption was very wrong. After the fitting of the guard I could tell the plastic was such a thin plastic that it could be swallowed or broken easily especially when your grinding your teeth this could be super dangerous and choke. I went for another appointment and I wanted a thicker one made from a different material, however this dental practice clearly doesn’t put the patients needs first. After the fact that they didn’t explain or take the time to explain this whole ordeal with why I need a mouth guard or that there are different options to one, my original dentist who made it for me refused to discuss with me and delegated the task to a dentist I’ve never met before. This dentist put their ego before anything that I was saying and felt that because they are the dentist they have the right to dictate and argue with their patient. I didn’t argue or put myself to their level but they have lost a client. My new dentist said I didn’t even need a mouth guard in the first place!! So safe to say that even thought I didn’t put myself to their standards I have moved my business/ money elsewhere :)
I have had a great experience at this clinic, dr Alshangi is super calm and skilled. Together with the lovely dental assistants he has made a very uncomfortable and painful procedure much more comfortable. Finally I am not so scared to go to the dentist anymore. Thank you!
